The itel P55 is the base model in the P55 series, officially launched in January 2024. This is the 4G-only model, and should not be confused with the P55 5G. It features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, offering a 20:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 272 ppi.
The phone is powered by a 12nm Unisoc T606 chipset, with an octa-core CPU (2x Cortex-A75 + 6x Cortex-A55) and Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. It runs Android 13 out of the box. Two memory variants are available: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, both using UFS 2.2 for faster read/write speeds. Dynamic RAM expansion allows up to 8GB additional memory. Storage is further expandable via microSD up to 256GB.
On the rear, the P55 4G is equipped with a 50MP main sensor and a QVGA AI depth lens. The rear camera supports features like autofocus, digital zoom, and dual LED flash, with video recording at 1080p. The front houses an 8MP selfie camera that supports HDR and Face Unlock, and can record video at 720p.
The phone includes dual SIM support with 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port. It retains a 3.5mm audio jack and has a speaker located at the chin below the display.
Powering the device is a 5000mAh non-removable battery, now upgraded with 18W fast charging. The P55 4G has a glass front, plastic back, and weighs approximately 190 grams.
