The Tecno Pova 5 Pro 5G is the advanced variant in the Pova 5 series. It replaces the MediaTek Helio G99 found in the standard pova 5 with a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 5G chipset. This processor supports dual-core Cortex-A76 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, providing improved processing power and energy efficiency. The device includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, allowing for substantial multitasking and file storage capacity.
The display measures 6.78 inches diagonally and features a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. It uses an IPS LCD panel, which delivers consistent color reproduction and viewing angles. The phone is equipped with a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery, which supports 68W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. This allows for quicker recharge times compared to the standard Pova 5, which has a larger 6000mAh battery but charges at 45W. The phone runs on Android 13 with Tecno’s HiOS 13 skin on top.
Thermal management is addressed through a 2,820mm² vapor chamber and a 12,979mm² heat dissipation area, designed to maintain lower temperatures during intensive tasks.Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. The device supports 5G connectivity, wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.
