Tecno has quietly launched its new budget smartphone, the Spark Go 2, in Bangladesh. The announcement came through the brand’s official Instagram page on June 3, confirming the phone’s availability and a starting price of ৳10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model.

It’s a Spark Go device, another opportunity for Tecno to reassure entry-level users that you don’t need to pay a premium price tag to own a premium-looking phone. Remember how last year’s Spark Go 1 raised generated attention for looking a lot like the base iPhone 15 from the back?

Well, Tecno decided to go the same route this year as well, tweaking the rear camera looks on the Spark Go 2 to resemble those on the latest iPhone 16 base model. So you are now getting a dual vertically arranged camera hood on the device, even though there’s still only one actual camera on the back: a 13MP lens with dual LED flash.

Up front, the Spark Go 2 comes with a 6.67-inch HD+ display and a 120Hz refresh rate, with a dotted notch on the head. The phone also includes features like dual speakers, IR remote support, and IP64 dust and water resistance, all of which were highlighted in Tecno’s launch image shared via Instagram.

The phone runs on Android 15 and is powered by Unisoc’s T7250 processor, the same CPU used on the current itel City 100 and the Redmi A5. Performance obviously won’t be its strongest suit, but for general use, it should be okay. The battery is a standard 5000mAh unit and supports 15W fast charging via USB-C.

There’s a basic 8MP selfie camera on the front, and storage can be expanded through a microSD card. Other practical features include a side fingerprint scanner, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and an infrared port. NFC isn’t included, obviously not expected either.

The Spark Go 2 is available in two colors: Startrail Black and Glittery White. It’s already on sale in Bangladesh, and Tecno is expected to roll it out in other regions soon.
