The iTel P40 is the initial model in the company’s P-series, launched first in the Indian market.It shares the same processor and display as the iTel vision 5. The device features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. Compared to the Vision 5, the P40 has a larger battery and a redesigned rear camera module.
The smartphone is equipped with the UNISOC SC9863A system-on-chip, which includes an octa-core CPU running at 1.6 ghz and a PowerVR GE8322 GPU. It is indeed available in two configurations: 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage.Both variants support memory expansion through iTel’s Memory Fusion Technology,which adds up to 3GB of virtual RAM.Camera hardware on the iTel P40 consists of a 13-megapixel primary sensor paired with a VGA depth sensor on the rear. An LED flash is included for low-light photography.The front-facing camera has a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
For security, the device includes a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It supports dual Nano-SIM cards with 4G LTE connectivity on both slots. The operating system is Google Android 12 (Go Edition), optimized for entry-level hardware. Additional specifications and features are detailed in the accompanying table.
