The iTel A59 Play is an entry-level smartphone primarily targeted at the Bangladeshi market, with availability in other Asian regions such as the Philippines. A variant known as the A58 Lite is marketed in Africa, featuring a different processor.
The device features a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels and a dewdrop notch housing the front camera. It is powered by a Spreadtrum SC9832E chipset,which includes a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz and a Mali-T820 GPU. The phone is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card.
On the rear,the iTel A59 Play has a dual-camera setup consisting of a 5-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.08-megapixel QVGA depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a single 5-megapixel sensor. The rear camera module includes an LED flash, while the front camera does not have a dedicated flash.
The device supports 3G and 4G LTE networks and includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. It runs on Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. Power is supplied by a 4000 mAh non-removable battery. Additional sensors include an accelerometer and proximity sensor.
