The General Mobile GM 22 is the direct successor to the GM 21 released the previous year. The overall design remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. However, the GM 22 replaces the UNISOC processor found in the GM 21 with a MediaTek Helio A25 chipset. The display measures 6.52 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.
On the rear, the GM 22 features a triple-camera setup. The primary sensor is a 13-megapixel lens, accompanied by two VGA auxiliary cameras. A single LED flash is positioned alongside the rear cameras. The front-facing camera has an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
The MediaTek Helio A25 chipset inside the GM 22 includes an octa-core CPU with cores clocked up to 1.8 GHz. Graphics processing is handled by the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device is equipped with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD.
Connectivity options include dual SIM slots supporting 4G LTE networks. A physical fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel for biometric security. The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery. It runs on Android 11 as the operating system out of the box.
The GM 22 is available in four color variants. The following table provides a detailed overview of the General Mobile GM 22 specifications.
