The Lava Z3 is an entry-level smartphone released in India in March 2022. It features a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The screen includes a dewdrop notch and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio A20 processor, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.8 GHz, paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.
On the rear, the Lava Z3 has a dual-camera setup consisting of an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary AI depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel sensor housed within the notch. An LED flash is positioned on the back to assist with low-light photography.
The phone supports dual 4G LTE SIM cards and includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. It is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, which supports standard charging. The device runs on Android 11 out of the box, with an update to a newer version promised by the manufacturer.
Additional features include standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer and proximity sensor. The Lava Z3 is positioned as a budget device with basic specifications suitable for everyday tasks.
