The Blackview BV8800 is a rugged smartphone introduced in December 2021. It features a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen includes a notch that houses the front-facing camera.the device meets IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H standards, providing resistance to dust, water, and drops.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset,which includes an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.05 GHz and a Mali-G57 MC4 GPU. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The storage capacity can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
In terms of cameras,the BV8800 has a quad-camera setup on the rear. The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 lens. This is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 20-megapixel infrared night vision camera. The device also includes two ultraviolet IR LEDs and two standard LED flashes to support low-light and night vision photography.
The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. It is indeed available in three colour options: Mecha Yellow, Navy Green, and Conquest Black. The BV8800 is equipped with an 8,380mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It runs on Android 11 with Blackview’s Doke OS 3.0 interface pre-installed.
Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, and ambient light sensor. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
