The Samsung Galaxy M22 succeeds the Galaxy M21 from the previous year, featuring several hardware and software updates. It has a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen includes a U-shaped notch at the top center, which houses the front-facing camera.

the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 processor, an octa-core chipset with two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8 GHz. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage,which can be expanded up too 1TB via a microSD card.

On the rear, the Galaxy M22 has a quad-camera setup. The primary sensor is a 48-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture.it is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is a 13-megapixel sensor located within the notch.
