The Tecno Camon 16 Premier succeeds the Camon 15 Premier, which was released approximately six months earlier.It is equipped with a mediatek Helio G90T processor, featuring an octa-core CPU configuration with 2x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05 GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. The device includes a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU for graphics processing, supported by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The smartphone has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels. The screen uses a pill-shaped notch to house dual front cameras and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. The front camera setup consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor.
On the rear, the Camon 16 Premier features a quad-camera array. This includes a 64-megapixel main sensor,an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree field of view,a 2-megapixel low-light sensor,and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear camera system is accompanied by a 5-LEAD flash module.The device supports dual nano-SIM cards with 4G LTE connectivity. It incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. Power is supplied by a 4500mAh battery, which supports fast charging at 33W via a USB Type-C port, with an 18W variant available in some regions such as India. The operating system is Android 10, customized with Tecno’s HiOS version 7.0.
