The Infinix Smart 5 succeeds the Smart 4, released earlier in the year. It is offered in two variants distinguished primarily by their processors and network capabilities. One model is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, while the other uses a quad-core MediaTek MT6761D chipset.
The MT6761D variant supports 4G LTE connectivity, whereas the MT6580 model is limited to 3G networks. the 4G version is equipped with up to 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In contrast, the 3G model comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Camera configurations also differ: the 4G model features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and two 0.3-megapixel auxiliary sensors. The 3G variant has a dual rear camera system with an 8-megapixel main sensor and a 0.3-megapixel secondary sensor.
Both variants have a 6.6-inch TFT display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The screen includes a waterdrop notch that houses an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The devices are powered by a 5000mAh battery and support dual Nano-SIM cards.A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is present on both models.
The operating system on both devices is Android 10. however, the 3G model runs the Go Edition, which is optimized for lower-end hardware. Additional sensors and features include standard accelerometer and proximity sensors. The detailed specifications of the Infinix Smart 5 are summarized in the accompanying table.
