The Tecno Camon 15 succeeds the Camon 12 released in 2019 and serves as a smaller variant of the Camon 15 Pro. It features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The screen incorporates a punch-hole design that houses the front-facing camera.
The rear camera setup includes four sensors: a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor referred to as an Ultra Night Lens. The camera module is accompanied by a quad-LED flash. On the front, the device has a 16-megapixel camera with AI capabilities and a single LED flash. Additional camera features include face beautification and facial recognition (FaceID).
Under the hood, the Camon 15 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. Graphics are handled by the powervr GE8320 GPU. The device comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256 GB via a microSD card slot.
The phone supports dual Nano-SIM cards with 4G VoLTE on both slots. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is present for biometric security. The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, which is larger than the 4000 mAh battery found in the Camon 15 Pro. It runs on Android 10 with Tecno’s HiOS 6.0.1 skin. Available color options are Shoal Gold, Captivating Purple, and Dark jade.
