The Flare S8 Plus is a mid-range smartphone from Cherry Mobile,released in the Philippines as part of the S8 series. It features a total of five cameras: two front-facing sensors and three rear sensors. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 processor and includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The display measures 6.26 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels, resulting in an 86% screen-to-body ratio. The screen design incorporates a motorized pop-up mechanism for the front cameras. The Helio P70 chipset is an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.1 GHz, paired with an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The phone is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
On the rear, the camera setup consists of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and phase detection autofocus (PDAF), a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear cameras are supported by a dual LED flash. The front camera system includes a 16-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, both housed in the pop-up module.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support with 4G VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The device is powered by a 3250mAh battery and runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
