Tecno Camon 12 Air
The Tecno Camon 12 Air features a 6.55-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The screen incorporates a punch-hole design, known as Display-O, which houses the front-facing camera. This design allows for a higher screen-to-body ratio, measured at over 85%, while maintaining a relatively compact form factor.
There are two main variants of the Camon 12 Air. The Asian model is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P22 processor (MT6762),an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The African version uses a MediaTek Helio A22 processor (MT6761), a quad-core CPU also clocked at 2.0 GHz, combined with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both versions include a PowerVR GE8320 GPU and support microSD card expansion for additional storage.
The rear camera setup consists of three sensors: a 16-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor for additional imaging functions. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor located within the punch-hole cutout on the display.
Additional hardware features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE connectivity. The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Tecno’s hios version 5.5 user interface. The combination of these specifications positions the Camon 12 air as a mid-range smartphone with a focus on display design and camera versatility.
