Tecno Phantom 9
the Tecno Phantom 9,released in June 2019 by Tecno Mobility,succeeds the Phantom 8 from 2017. It features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The screen has a U-shaped notch and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio,resulting in an 83.4% screen-to-body ratio.
The display uses Samsung AMOLED technology,providing sharp image quality. Despite it’s 6.4-inch size, the Phantom 9 is more compact than the Phantom 8, which had a 5.7-inch screen, due to its higher screen-to-body ratio of approximately 84%.The device includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, marking Tecno’s first implementation of this feature.
Inside,the Phantom 9 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) octa-core processor clocked at 2.35 GHz. This chipset is built on a 12nm process and supports AI optimizations. Graphics are handled by the PowerVR GE8322 GPU. The phone is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The rear camera system consists of three sensors: a 16-megapixel main camera with quad-LED flash and phase detection autofocus (PDAF), a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The front camera is a 32-megapixel sensor paired with dual LED flash positioned on the bezel above the display.
The Phantom 9 supports dual 4G SIM cards and is powered by a 3500mAh battery. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Tecno’s hios version 5.0. Additional specifications and features are available in the detailed technical table.
