The Infinix Hot S4, released in April 2019 by Infinix Mobility, is an updated model succeeding the Infinix Hot S3X from the previous year. This device introduces a waterdrop notch display and a triple rear camera setup, marking a first for the brand.
The smartphone features a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The screen includes a waterdrop notch that houses a 32-megapixel front camera. This front sensor supports AI functionalities,including 3D facial recognition that maps over a thousand facial points for device security.On the rear, the Hot S4 is equipped with three cameras: a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture,a 2-megapixel depth sensor,and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens capable of capturing images with a 120-degree field of view.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It includes 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 256 GB.
The Hot S4 runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Infinix’s XOS 5.0 Honeybee interface.It supports dual Nano-SIM cards with 4G VoLTE connectivity. Additional features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 4000 mAh non-removable battery. The device’s hardware and software specifications are designed to provide standard performance within its segment.
