The Infinix S2 Pro, also known as the Infinix X522, and the infinix S2 succeed the Infinix Hot S model. Both devices share several specifications, including screen size, storage capacity, and processor. The primary distinction lies in the camera setup. The S2 Pro features a dual front-facing camera system, designed to enhance selfie and group photo capabilities.
Infinix appears to be phasing out the “Hot” branding from the S series, similar to the approach taken with the Note series in previous years. The dual front cameras on the S2 Pro consist of a 13-megapixel primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. This configuration aims to improve depth sensing and image quality for front-facing photos.
The Infinix S2 is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS display, offering a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of approximately 282 pixels per inch. It is indeed powered by a MediaTek MT6753 processor, which is an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz. The device includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable via a microSD card up to 128GB.
The operating system on the Infinix S2 is Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support with download speeds up to 150 Mbps. Additional features include a fingerprint sensor for biometric security and a 3000 mAh lithium-ion battery that supports fast charging. The rear camera is a single 13-megapixel sensor.
