Tecno Phantom 8 Technical Overview
The Tecno Phantom 8 is equipped with a 5.7-inch AMOLED display featuring a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The screen supports a 16:9 aspect ratio and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor, which includes two Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.85 GHz, and four additional Cortex-A53 cores at 1.4 GHz. It is paired with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 256 GB.
On the camera front, the Phantom 8 features a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor, both equipped with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. The front camera has a 20-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Tecno’s HiOS skin layered on top.
The smartphone includes a 3500 mAh non-removable battery with support for fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou. Sensors integrated into the device are a fingerprint scanner (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, and compass. The Phantom 8 measures 156.7 x 77.3 x 7.7 mm and weighs 170 grams.
