After months of rumors and early leaks, Samsung has finally made the Galaxy S25 Edge official; and in my opinion, it’s clearly a bold preemptive move before Apple rolls out its expected iPhone 17 Air later this year. This new addition to the S25 lineup is all about sleekness and style. I mean, 5.8mm thickness? That’s incredibly slim for a flagship smartphone in 2025.
How Much Would the Galaxy S25 Edge Cost in Nigeria?
Now, Samsung hasn’t said a word about the Galaxy S25 Edge on any of its Nigerian social media pages; not even a teaser on Instagram or X. But that doesn’t stop us from estimating what the price might look like if it officially drops here. Currently, the regular Galaxy S25 with 128GB storage goes for around ₦1,190,000, an equivalent of its $799.99 price tag in the US.

With that in mind, the S25 Edge; which starts at $1,099 in the US for the 256GB model; could end up costing somewhere between ₦1.6 million to ₦1.7 million in Nigeria if Samsung decides to bring it here. That puts it right in between the S25 Plus and the S25 Ultra in terms of pricing, making it a premium but slightly more affordable alternative to the Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Key Features and Specifications
So it’s not just about the looks, Samsung has clearly gone all-in on making this phone thin and lightweight. It measures only 5.8mm thick and weighs just 163g, although still dethroned by the discontinued Gionee Elife S5.1 of 2014, even though that model only houses half the battery capacity on the S25 Edge.
Talking about battery, the S25 Edge packs a 3,900mAh cell, which isn’t massive, but should still get you through a regular day if you’re not a heavy user. It supports 25W fast charging and as well as wireless charging but none of their charging adapters are included in the box.

Performance-wise, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which is a custom-tuned chipset, the SoC found on the S24 Ultra. It is paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The display is a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with QHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.
The rear cameras include a massive 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP selfie camera up front. You also get Android 15 with One UI 7, IP68 rating, and a tough titanium frame. It’s available in three color options: Titanium Silver, Jetblack, and Icyblue; and honestly, they all look stunning.

Final Thoughts
If this device does arrive in Nigeria, it’s definitely going to be one of the more desirable options in the S25 series. It gives you almost everything the Ultra offers but in a thinner and more stylish body, and I think the ladies in the house might consider this over the regular S25 Plus or Ultra.
Yes, the battery size might be a concern for some people, but personally, I think the form factor and the overall specs still make it a tempting choice; especially for users who prefer elegance without sacrificing too much power.
