It is powered by the A12X Bionic chip, which includes an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU, designed to handle demanding applications and multitasking efficiently. the device comes with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on the storage configuration.

Storage options range from 64GB to 1TB of internal flash memory, providing adaptability for different user needs. The iPad Pro runs on iOS 12 at launch, with support for later iPadOS updates. It includes a Face ID system for biometric authentication, replacing the traditional Touch ID sensor.
