Apple iPhone 14 Plus
The Apple iPhone 14 Plus is the larger variant of the standard iPhone 14. Apple discontinued the “Plus” naming after the iPhone 8 series and introduced a “Mini” model with the iPhone 12 and 13 series. In 2022, Apple replaced the Mini with the iPhone 14 Plus, featuring a bigger display while maintaining moast specifications of the base model.
The iPhone 14 Plus has a 6.7-inch super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2778 x 1284 pixels and a pixel density of approximately 458 ppi. It uses Ceramic Shield glass on the front and supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The device is powered by the A15 Bionic chip, which includes a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. It comes with 6GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
The camera system on the iPhone 14 Plus consists of a dual rear setup with a 12-megapixel wide sensor featuring sensor-shift optical image stabilization and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The front-facing camera is also 12 megapixels and includes a TrueDepth system with an SL 3D depth sensor for Face ID and portrait mode effects. Video recording supports 4K at up too 60fps and cinematic mode at 1080p.
The phone runs iOS 16 out of the box and supports 5G connectivity with dual SIM (nano-SIM and eSIM). Other features include Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6, Lightning connector (USB 2.0), and Face ID facial recognition. The battery capacity is approximately 4323mAh, supporting MagSafe wireless charging and fast charging via a 20W adapter. Available colors are Midnight, Purple, Starlight, Blue, and Red.
