The gionee S8s is a midrange smartphone featuring a 5.86-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and a brightness level of 500 nits. It is indeed the first Gionee device to incorporate a notch display cut-out, which houses the front-facing camera, ambient light sensors, and speaker grill. The phone has a screen-to-body ratio of 82.7%, with minimal bezels surrounding the display. The back cover has a 3D glass finish.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. Graphics are managed by the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It includes 3GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The Gionee S8s runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
