Honor Play 9A is an entry-level smartphone from Huawei’s sub-brand Honor. It features a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen includes a waterdrop notch that houses an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) octa-core processor, clocked at up to 2.3 GHz. Graphics are handled by the PowerVR GE8320 GPU.It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage,which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
On the rear, the Honor Play 9A has a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The camera module is accompanied by a single LED flash. The front camera supports selfie photography and video calls.
For security, the phone includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and supports AI-based facial recognition. It supports dual nano-SIM cards with 4G LTE connectivity on both slots.The device runs on Android 10 with Huawei’s EMUI skin.
The battery capacity is 5000mAh, and it charges via a 5V/2A charger. Additional sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. The phone’s connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
