Huawei P40
The Huawei P40 is the latest model in the P-series, succeeding the Huawei P30 released in 2019. the device retains a 6.1-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. However, the notch design has changed from a U-shape to a pill-shaped cutout.
The phone is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 990 chipset, which supports 5G connectivity. This system-on-chip is built on a 7nm+ EUV process and features an octa-core CPU configuration: two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.86 GHz, two cortex-A76 cores at 2.36 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores running at 1.95 GHz. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. The device comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and offers internal storage options of 128GB or 256GB. Storage can be expanded by up to 256GB using a Nano Memory (NM) card.
The rear camera setup includes three sensors. The primary camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS), and omni-directional phase detection autofocus (PDAF). The secondary camera is an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS, PDAF, and 3x optical zoom. The third sensor is a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a single 32-megapixel selfie camera paired with an IR Time-of-Flight (TOF) 3D sensor used exclusively for biometric Face ID.
Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and IP53 certification for dust and water resistance. The device supports either single or dual SIM configurations and is available in Silver Frost, Blush Gold, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, and Black. It is powered by a 3800mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. The operating system is Android 10 with EMUI 10.1, integrated with huawei Mobile Services (HMS).
