Huawei P40 Pro Plus
The Huawei P40 Pro Plus, released in 2020, is the highest-end model in the P40 series. It shares the same 6.58-inch OLED display as the P40 Pro, featuring a resolution of 1200 x 2640 pixels and a pill-shaped notch at the top. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10, providing detailed visuals.
This model is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 990 5G chipset, built on a 7nm+ EUV process. The CPU configuration includes a dual-core 2.86 GHz Cortex-A76, a dual-core 2.36 GHz Cortex-A76, and a quad-core 1.95 GHz Cortex-A55. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. The device comes with 8GB of RAM and offers internal storage options of 256GB or 512GB, expandable via a Nano Memory (NM) card slot.
The rear camera setup consists of five sensors. The primary camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilization (OIS), and omnidirectional phase detection autofocus (PDAF). It is complemented by an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with OIS, PDAF, and 10x optical zoom. A second 8-megapixel telephoto lens provides 3x optical zoom. Additionally, there is a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/1.8 aperture. A time-of-flight (TOF) 3D depth sensor is positioned near the LED flash for depth mapping. The front-facing camera includes a 32-megapixel sensor paired with a TOF 3D sensor for depth sensing and facial recognition.
The device is equipped with a 4200mAh battery supporting 40W wired and wireless fast charging. Security features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and infrared face recognition. The P40 pro Plus supports single or dual SIM configurations and has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.1 and Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). The phone is available in White Ceramic and Black Ceramic finishes.
