The itel A70 succeeds the itel A60, which was released several months earlier. While the A70 introduces improvements in processing power, memory capacity, and camera features, it remains positioned as an entry-level smartphone similar to its predecessor.

The device is equipped with a Unisoc Tiger T603 processor. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB of internal memory. Although itel markets the A70 as having 12GB of RAM, the physical RAM is either 3GB or 4GB, with the additional memory made available through memory fusion technology, which allocates a portion of the internal storage to function as virtual RAM.

The itel A70 features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. The rear camera setup consists of a single 13-megapixel sensor. For biometric security, the device includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Power is supplied by a 5000mAh battery, which supports charging at 10 watts. The phone operates on Android 13 (Go Edition), a lightweight version of the Android operating system optimized for devices with limited hardware resources.
