The Nokia 2.2 was announced in June 2019 as an entry-level smartphone from nokia. It succeeds the Nokia 2.1 and features a 5.71-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen includes a U-shaped notch similar to the Nokia 3.2.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) processor, which is a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz. It is paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Nokia 2.2 comes with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and offers internal storage options of 16GB or 32GB, expandable via microSD card.
For photography, the phone has a single 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), an f/2.2 aperture, and an LED flash. The front camera is a 5-megapixel wide-angle sensor intended for selfies and video calls.
The Nokia 2.2 does not include a fingerprint sensor but supports facial recognition for device unlocking. It supports dual SIM cards with 4G LTE connectivity. The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Power is supplied by a 3000mAh battery, which supports 5W charging.
Additional features include standard sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. The phone’s connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2,GPS,and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Nokia 2.2 targets basic smartphone functionality with modest hardware specifications.
