The OnePlus 7T is a smartphone released as the successor to the OnePlus 7,which debuted six months earlier. It features a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate and includes a waterdrop notch at the top center,housing a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Above the notch, there is a secondary stereo speaker to complement the bottom-firing speaker.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.96 GHz. graphics are handled by the Adreno 640 GPU. The phone comes with 8 GB of RAM and offers internal storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB, both non-expandable via microSD. The rear camera setup consists of three sensors: a 48-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 117-degree field of view.
The OnePlus 7T uses an under-display optical fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, similar to the system found on the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro models. It supports dual Nano-SIM cards with 4G LTE connectivity on both slots. The device runs on OxygenOS 10.0.3, based on Android 10. Power is supplied by a 3800mAh battery, which supports Warp Charge 30 fast charging through a USB Type-C port. Additional sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, and ambient light sensor.
