Sharp Aquos R7

Teh Sharp Aquos R7 succeeds the Aquos R6 from 2021. Unlike the R6’s curved display, the R7 features a flat 6.6-inch QHD+ screen with a dot notch. The display supports a variable refresh rate up to 240Hz, adjusting dynamically based on content requirements.

Internally, the Aquos R7 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor paired with the Adreno 730 GPU. It includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with no mention of expandable memory options.

The rear camera setup consists of two sensors. The primary camera is a 47.2-megapixel unit with a large 1/1.0-inch sensor and an f/1.9 aperture. The secondary sensor is a 1.9-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the device has a 12.6-megapixel selfie camera located within the notch.

The device maintains an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It features an under-display fingerprint sensor, supports NFC, and accommodates dual SIM cards. The battery capacity is 5000mAh, and the phone runs on Android 12 out of the box.

Additional sensors and connectivity options include standard accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and USB Type-C port. The device does not include a headphone jack. The overall design and hardware specifications position the Aquos R7 as a high-end smartphone with a focus on display quality and camera performance.
