The TCL 406 succeeds the TCL 405, maintaining much of the same design and hardware.Both models feature a 6.6-inch display with similar resolution and panel type. The processor remains the MediaTek Helio G25, an entry-level octa-core chipset designed for basic smartphone tasks.
The TCL 406 runs on Android 13,an update from the previous version found on the TCL 405. The front camera has been upgraded to an 8-megapixel sensor, replacing the earlier lower-resolution unit. Additionally, the device now includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
Memory and storage are fixed at 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with no alternative configurations available. Power is supplied by a 5000mAh battery, supporting extended usage without frequent recharging. The phone’s connectivity options include standard Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE support.
Other specifications include a dual rear camera setup with a primary 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary depth sensor. The device also features a micro-USB port for charging and data transfer, a 3.5mm headphone jack,and basic sensors such as an accelerometer and proximity sensor. the TCL 406 offers incremental updates over its predecessor while retaining core hardware elements.
