Tecno appears to be expanding its Pova lineup, and a new device under the name Tecno Pova Curve 5G has surfaced online. While Tecno began teasing the upcoming Pova 7 series over a month ago, no official launch has taken place yet. This new model might be part of that lineup or possibly a related release.
The Pova Curve 5G, identified by the model number LJ8k, has been listed on the Google Play Console and also spotted in the Geekbench 6.4.0 database. The listing confirms several key specifications, including the use of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 (MT6878) chipset.
This SoC includes a CPU setup with four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, along with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. It also shows the device will run Android 15 out of the box and feature 8GB of RAM.
The Play Console image of the phone reveals a curved display, consistent with the device’s name – “Curve 5G.” The screen resolution is listed as 1,080 x 2,436 pixels, though no details about the refresh rate have been provided in the listing.
In terms of internal hardware, the Pova Curve 5G draws a close comparison to Tecno’s Camon 40 Pro, which also runs on the Dimensity 7300 chipset and features a 6.78-inch curved display with the same resolution. The Camon model boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, but it remains to be seen if the Pova Curve will match that specification.
It’s worth noting that Tecno’s Pova series typically leans more toward the value-focused segment, while the Camon series, particularly the Premier variants, aims for the premium mid-range space. So even if the two devices share a chipset and display resolution, the final specs and build quality may differ significantly.
For now, official launch dates and complete specifications remain unknown. More leaks or a formal announcement from Tecno should provide further clarity in the coming weeks.
