Tecno Spark 40

The Tecno Spark 40 is the base model in the newly launched Spark 40 series, arriving alongside the Spark 40 Pro and Spark 40 Pro+. It serves as the direct successor to last year’s Spark 30, bringing a familiar design but with meaningful upgrades in charging speed, audio, and overall usability, without stepping out of the budget-friendly range Tecno is known for.

It features a large 6.67-inch IPS display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, offering responsive touch and decent visuals for everyday use. Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset paired with either 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM options, and up to 256GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot is available for further expansion.

On the back, the Spark 40 comes with a dual-lens setup led by a 50MP main camera. There’s also a QVGA AI sensor for depth information. For selfies, it relies on an 8MP front camera that supports HDR, face beauty, and 1080p video recording.
One of the key highlights is the inclusion of a 5200mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, an impressive addition at this price level. The battery easily powers the phone through a full day, and when you do need to top up, the fast charger gets it done quickly.

The audio experience is also a step up, thanks to the dual stereo speakers placed at the bottom and top of the device. Other features include Android 15 with HiOS 15, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64-rated protection for dust and water splashes, and support for dual 4G SIM cards. The phone measures 165.6 x 77 x 7.7 mm and is available in four color options: Ink Black, Titanium Grey, Veil White, and Mirage Blue.
