The UMIDIGI G9 is equipped with a 6.78-inch Full HD+ display, featuring a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM adn 64GB of internal storage. Storage capacity can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The device operates on Android 11.

The rear camera system consists of three sensors: a 48MP primary camera, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is a 16MP sensor located within a waterdrop notch.
