The Poco M3 succeeds the Xiaomi Poco M2 and features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, replacing the mediatek chipset found in its predecessor. The device has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a dewdrop notch. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Under the hood, the Poco M3 is powered by an 11nm Snapdragon 662 chipset with an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.0 GHz, paired with an Adreno 610 GPU. It is indeed available with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and offers storage options of 64GB UFS 2.1 or 128GB UFS 2.2. Storage can be expanded via a microSD card.
The rear camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and an f/1.8 aperture,accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. An LED flash supports the rear cameras. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel sensor housed within the notch.
The device incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security.It is equipped with a 6000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. Audio output is delivered thru dual stereo speakers. Connectivity options include dual Nano SIM slots with 4G VoLTE support.
The Poco M3 runs MIUI 12 based on Android 10 at launch. It is available in three color variants: Cool Blue, Poco Yellow, and power Black. The phone includes standard sensors such as an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and compass.
