Xiaomi Redmi K40
The Xiaomi redmi K40 succeeds the Redmi K30 from the previous year, introducing several hardware and software improvements. The device features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1300 nits. A centrally placed punch-hole houses the front camera.
Powering the Redmi K40 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, built on a 7nm process. this octa-core chipset runs at up to 3.2 GHz and is paired with the Adreno 650 GPU. The phone offers configurations with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, without expandable memory options.
The rear camera setup consists of three sensors: a 48-megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and a 1/2-inch sensor size, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree field of view, and a 5-megapixel telemacro sensor. The front-facing camera is a 20-megapixel sensor located in the punch-hole cutout.
The Redmi K40 includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. It supports dual Nano-SIM cards with 4G and 5G connectivity, including both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes. The device is powered by a 4520mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It runs on Android 11 with Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 interface pre-installed.
Available in Black,White,and Aurora color options,the Redmi K40 integrates standard sensors such as an accelerometer,gyroscope,proximity sensor,and compass.
