Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S is an updated variant of the Redmi note 7, introduced in the Indian market with a 48-megapixel main camera. Unlike the earlier Indian Redmi Note 7 model,which featured a 12-megapixel sensor,the Redmi Note 7S uses a Sony IMX586 sensor with a 1/2-inch size and an f/1.79 aperture. The camera outputs 12-megapixel images by default through pixel binning but supports 48-megapixel capture in Pro mode. A secondary 5-megapixel sensor assists with depth effects for portrait photography. The rear camera system includes AI capabilities such as handheld night mode.
The front-facing camera is a 13-megapixel sensor equipped with AI beautification, portrait mode, and AI face unlock functionality. the device features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch,1.95mm bezels, and an 81.37% screen-to-body ratio. The chassis incorporates a glass back with 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass 5 protection and a gradient finish. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and P2i nano-coating for splash resistance.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 7S is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 soc paired with the Adreno 512 GPU. It supports up to 4GB of RAM and offers internal storage options up to 128GB, expandable via microSD. The device runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 as the user interface.
The smartphone is equipped with a 4000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0, enabling 18W fast charging. Additional sensors include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and compass. The Redmi Note 7S balances mid-range hardware with camera improvements compared to its predecessor.
